As part of Engineers week, John from Limerick Council gave us a talk about his work.

STEM is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines — science, technology, engineering and mathematics — in an interdisciplinary and applied approach. Rather than teach the four disciplines as seperate and discrete subjects, STEM integrates them into a cohesive learning paradigm based on real-world applications.

One project the 5th and 6th class were involved in recently was the RDS Primary Science Fair in Mary Immaculate College. Click here to see some photos.

We had a science show where the pupils watched and helped out in a couple of experiments.
